Categories:

Denver, CO,  August 25, 2016 – ODILO, one of the leading digital content providers for libraries, announces their partnership with Axiell, the leading supplier of IT systems and services to public libraries in the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries. The partnership will enable libraries to easily access and manage digital content, integrate a mix of content sources, and quickly distribute high-quality content to patrons.

This partnership also allows Axiell customers a greater choice of content and the ability to rapidly integrate a mix of sources that are available on the market, such as content from Axiell Media.

Joel Sommerfeldt, CEO at Axiell Group, said: “Libraries need a rich mix of content to drive continuous engagement with patrons and promote reading, learning, and creativity. Digital media is a key part of the transformation of libraries, and providing easy and intuitive access to content will ensure libraries can offer services that appeal to patrons and community partners, such as schools. Through the partnership with ODILO, Axiell’s customers will be able to expand their offering and incorporate content with high appeal, such as the bestseller Me Before You, by JoJo Moyes.”

Axiell’s solutions enable the cost efficient management of all services in the library – from books and information to automation solutions and learning and entertainment – and are designed to drive the transformation of the modern public library, both the physical and the digital. Content is essential for libraries that want to remain relevant and ODILO’s strong international presence and extensive lending catalog, providing over one million high quality English and Spanish titles, is a complementary addition to Axiell’s digital content offering. ODILO also offers various licensing models, allowing libraries to choose which lending models works best for their budgets This offers Axiell customers the opportunity to use their savings for other essential library needs.

“What makes this partnership so exciting is that we can simplify the work for libraries by offering an integrated library system and a digital lending platform combined under a single provider,” said Rodrigo Rodriguez, CEO of ODILO. “Patrons can easily access and enjoy any type of content from an integrated online public access catalog and library-branded mobile apps.”
