Likewise, its CEO, Rodrigo Rodriguez, has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the 100 most creative people in the business world and is now venturing into basketball with the official launch of the team’s new name.
David Ayala, President of the basketball club, commented “ODILO’s sponsorship means a huge boost to the teams, since, in addition, it is an inspiration for us to see that a Cartagena company is now a multinational company recognized worldwide. That is the goal of each of the players, to, like ODILO, bring the name of Cartagena to the world”. He also informed that, “from now on, the first men’s and women’s teams, along with the entire youth team, will be called ODILO FC CARTAGENA CB“.
The Mayoress of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, presided over the launching event of this new stage for the teams and exclaimed “it is the moment to feel proud of what Cartageneros do from Cartagena to the rest of the world!”
A commitment to education, sports and continued investment in the region are priorities for the company. “We are very excited about promoting sports and education in Cartagena, the city where we were born and where ODILO is headquartered,” said Rodrigo Rodriguez, CEO of the company.
The company will continue to strengthen and expand its existing teams and departments in the Murcia region. In addition, it will focus on creating the largest e-learning and educational content hub in Europe in a Spanish or European city to be announced (after being awarded €60 million in an investment round).
