On October 24 and 25, ODILO participated as a sponsor of the 8th International Education Congress in Bogotá, an event that has become a reference point for education in Latin America. This congress brought together ministers, educational leaders, government representatives, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing education in a time of ongoing digital transformation.
Exploring the digital divide and public policies for the future of education
A standout moment was the panel “Public Policies in Educational Innovation and Closing the Digital Divide,” led by Edward Valderrama, ODILO’s Government & K12 LATAM Business Director. Valderrama, along with experts Roni Miranda, Alberto Martínez Monterrosa, and Alix Cecilia Chinchilla Rueda, discussed strategies being implemented to reduce the digital divide and promote educational equity. The panelists shared insights into public policies that foster digital inclusion and described how innovation is being integrated into educational systems to ensure more equitable access to learning.
The conversation focused on current challenges, such as the need for accessible technology resources in all communities, and on how digital learning solutions like those offered by ODILO can help bridge this gap. The exchange of international experiences, policies, and practical examples provided a comprehensive view of how education can evolve inclusively, even in low-resource settings.
Fostering collaboration among educational leaders
To close the event, we hosted a VIP Breakfast for education secretaries from various countries, where topics of innovation and success stories were shared. We highlighted the implementation of our digital solutions with the State Education Department of Paraná, Brazil, where we are transforming the educational model with an accessible and effective platform. This gathering was also a prime opportunity to strengthen connections and consolidate collaborations aimed at transforming learning across the region.
A growth space for education in Latin America
The congress included a wide range of activities: expert panels, interactive workshops, and keynote speeches on areas such as educational leadership, organizational strategies, educational marketing, technological innovation, and the importance of building strategic alliances to foster digital learning. Attendees not only gained insights into best practices, but also actively participated, sharing their own challenges and successes.
Networking moments were especially valuable, allowing attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential future collaborations. This congress not only reinforced Bogotá’s position as a hub for innovative education but also reaffirmed our mission to provide access to quality, personalized education that meets the needs of every community.
Committed to a more accessible and innovative educational future
This event was an opportunity to represent our ongoing commitment to education in Latin America, breaking down barriers that limit access to quality education. We thank everyone who joined us on this transformative journey and trust that the ideas and collaborations generated at the congress will continue to positively impact education across the region.
