Madrid, April 7th, 2025 – ODILO, the Spanish edtech company that enables any organization to create its own learning ecosystem, has appointed Sarah Harmon as its new Managing Director. Her arrival marks a key milestone in the company’s forward-looking strategy, aimed at driving business growth across all its areas of operation—educational institutions and universities, public administration, and the corporate sector—while strengthening its position in the international market.

“It is an honor and a challenge to join the ODILO team to take another step in a trajectory that has positioned us in a privileged place in the edtech sector. I look forward to bringing my experience so we can continue to positively impact our customers and society by bringing training and valuable educational content to any learner in the world,” said Sarah Harmon, new Managing Director of ODILO.

With her incorporation, ODILO seeks to meet the challenge of responding to the training needs of today’s society and the labor demand for new professional profiles. Sarah Harmon states, “The education system was born with the Industrial Revolution. Young people are not being prepared for the jobs of the future. This opens the door to a new paradigm in which edtech brings an innovative spirit and solutions aligned with contemporary training needs at the speed with which they are arriving“.

In addition, her professional philosophy is entirely in line with the values of edtech. For Sarah, “the most important thing is what you are learning, with whom, and for what purpose.” In this sense, she emphasizes that learning is fundamental in any person’s daily life; therefore, from ODILO, she assures that the company will continue to develop innovative and customized technological solutions that meet the needs of its customers.

Technology and innovation leader with more than 25 years of experience

Sarah Harmon has an extensive track record of more than 25 years in the management of global technology companies. Before joining ODILO, she served as CEO of SNGULAR, leading the transformation and expansion of the business.

Previously, she served as Director of LinkedIn Talent Solutions for Spain and Portugal, driving the company’s growth in the region and helping solidify its reputation as a key platform for talent management; in 2015, she was recognized as the hire of the year. She also held various leadership roles at Microsoft Ibérica, including the global launch of Microsoft Office 365. She received several awards at Microsoft, including the Circle of Excellence Platinum Club (2010).

Her integrity and ability to lead organizations have led her to be recognized for various editions as part of the ranking of the 100 leaders with the best reputation in Spain, carried out by Merco (Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation). In addition, she is characterized as a growth CEO, a leader specializing in making companies and their staff grow.

She also brings experience from other sectors, always linked to innovation—for example, the financial sector, as a member of the board of directors at CaixaBank Payments & Consumer, where she contributes her expertise in technology applied to the industry.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability, gender equality, and developing environments that foster talent. Her influence extends beyond the corporate arena. Sarah is actively involved in initiatives such as Women to Watch and Foundation 29, reflecting her dedication to gender equality and social responsibility.

A new exciting stage for one of the most promising scale up companies in Spain

Sarah Harmon’s appointment opens the door to a new corporate culture in edtech, with a formula combining an innovative platform and the team’s expertise to allow clients to design their own training plans based on their interests and motivations. As the new Managing Director says: “The training sector has evolved. People don’t learn in the same way. The key lies in the personalization of content. Our differential value is that we constantly evolve, listening to our clients and learners to accompany them in designing a learning path tailored to their needs and motivations”.

In this sense, Sarah emphasizes the importance of human capital in the growth and future of the company, betting on the talent of ODILO teams and the recruitment of top professionals: “I defend a model of servant leadership, which drives the growth of the team over its own, and in which the future of the company is built together. I will work every day as I have in my career, providing the resources and motivation necessary for the team to continue growing professionally and personally. The success of our people will be the success of ODILO“.

For her part, the new Managing Director of ODILO points out that the focus of the investment will be on product development and on the company’s human capital: ” During the next hundred days, the priority will be to provide answers to our internal and external customers.
